http://www.dailyhiit.com/hiit-blog/hiit-life/women/time-ditch-bras/Instead of fueling the common belief that going without a bra will lead to back problems and sagginess the research done by Professor Rouillon suggests that bras could actually add fire to these problems. The research done over the course of 15 years in France found that not wearing a bra increases the strength of breast tissue and reduces sagging over time.

(5,075 posts)The poster's screen name was 'jiggles'.
The post wan't offensive or inappropriate, imo. Just a mention of being more comfortable without a bra.
But the name plus the topic was just a bit funny.

(50,566 posts)I've come to conclude that it's not the bralessness that causes the sag so much as it is the extended breastfeeding.

(9,314 posts)unless I have company. I've considered going braless when I go out. I hate the things so I'm glad to see this research.

(5,275 posts)Unless I'm going somewhere where I will take the coat off. But if I'm just grocery shopping when it's cold I just throw on a sweatshirt under the coat, nobody knows the difference. Haven't noticed a lot of sagging so maybe this does work for that.

(15,682 posts)is out in public. Or sometimes when company is over (it depends on the company). If I'm wearing a sweater or jacket I'll often forgo the bra in public. Comfort is more important to me.
And, underpants, I will pass on wearing underpants as well with certain clothing. After 4 lower back surgeries the scar on my back is really sensitive. When clothing brushes lightly against that skin it makes me crazy. I do whatever it takes to prevent that gawd awful feeling.

(3,033 posts)caused by wearing a bra - lymph glands are crushed and can't drain, causing congestion that eventually make fibrous tissue lumps. Therefore, I only put on a bra when leaving the house, in accordance with my surgeon's orders. I don't wear one when out in my back yard either. I wish I never had to put one on ever again.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Elaine buys her nemesis a bra because she never wears one and then the lady wears it all by itself in public.
