while your contemplating Mr. Christie's latest story. And we know how many contradictions there have been because we have been paying close attention. Who did he send out to "investigate"? (and we know this didn't really happen) Charlie & Kevin. What are their backgrounds:

Kevin O’Dowd, Chief of Staff

Prior to joining the Christie Administration, O’Dowd served as the Chief of the Securities and Healthcare Fraud Unit in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey. During the seven years he served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, O’Dowd prosecuted various crimes ranging from complex healthcare, securities and financial fraud matters to international child pornography distribution, cyber crimes and narcotics trafficking violations.

Charles B. McKenna, Chief Counsel

Mr. McKenna came to this position from the United States Attorney's Office, District of New Jersey, where he had served for 18 years. At the time of his appointment, he was the Chief of the Criminal Division, a position in which he directed attorneys responsible with prosecuting federal criminal violations since 2008. He also supervised investigations and interacted with heads of law enforcement-including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Agency, Internal Revenue Service and Department of Defense and was responsible for establishing and administering policy for the Criminal Division, the largest in the US Attorney's Office.

From 2002 until 2008, Mr. McKenna served as Executive Assistant US Attorney under then US Attorney Chris Christie. Here, he had executive oversight for all Criminal and Civil Division investigations as well as administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient operations in the office.

Yet, they didn't come up with anything! Experienced and accomplished U.S. Attorneys. Of course they have been part of Christie's crew since his days as the U.S. Attorney for NJ and are now his right hand henchmen. Couldn't find a thing. Because (if indeed they were dispatched to the Port Authority to investigate) they didn't want to find anything! The stories stink more and more every day!

Maybe he should have sent out these crack investigators:

why MSNBC puts up with him is beyond me. The show is much better when he's a no show......Mika should have her own time slot......well....maybe not.

from the Chris Christie Crime Digest, an event I remember well:

The 1994 defamation suite where he blatantly lied about his opponents in the Morris County Freeholders race. Check out this description of that episode:

People have very low opinions of political advertising, and justifiably so. But blatantly false political ads are actually pretty rare. For one, political rhetoric is so flexible, and factual standards so ambiguous, that there is no reason to make obviously false statements in an ad. You can impugn an opponent's character thousands of ways before it's ever necessary to resort to a clearly, demonstrably, factually false claim. Saying your opponents are under investigation by a local prosecutor when they are not is obviously dishonest. But saying it on television is also a little nutty. Was that potentially self-damaging lie really his only chance of winning?

You can watch the 1994 Christie ad here. There is something else unusual about it. Christie is seated on a sofa next to his wife and baby as he defames his two opponents. (They subsequently sued Christie, who issued an apology two years later.) Who does that? Who holds his baby and then turns to the camera to lie flagrantly?

Who said past results are not indicative of future performance? This was close to an all-time low. Seriously, what kind of man holds his baby then turns to the camera and lies? I think we know the answer.

everything was online. Good for Rachel and her staff for going and digging it up! It was in the Ledger, The Daily Record and the local weekly. Cissy Laureys was a nice person and a pretty good elected official for a republican. She got the last laugh because she got re-elected and served as a freeholder for almost a decade more. After she died, there was an interesting artilce about her: Remembering Ma Laureys, the Mother of 10 Christie Slandered to Win His First Election, you can read it here: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/01/23/remembering-ma-laureys-the-mother-of-10-christie-slandered-to-win-his-first-election.html

As it came to an end I turned and told my husband, one thing does not match, Christie is toast.

So many things do not, he might end up serving some hard time.

He talked himself into his contradictions - listened to McGramps and went on and on.
I just knew he'd tie himself up in knots.
He's been caught lying again.

He lied his ass(that seems to be the popular theme tonight) off during the whole marathon presser. Not one single solitary word was true.

Did he just make another Lying statement?
