I don't watch Jay that often but I happened to be flipping through the channels and saw the last few minutes of his (second) final sign off. Among the people he thanked was his UNION crew. And the crowd cheered when he made that distinction!
WTG Jay.

(4,442 posts)Unusual to hear a rich guy acknowledge that workers deserve fair wages and benefits. Props to Leno for that comment.

I like Jay but excited to see Jimmy Fallon start up.
Also, a little secret about me that will not be popular. I am THE BIGGEST Garth Brooks fan in the world. lol! Was good to see him performing live again.

(45,319 posts)Of course the Networks have Union contracts, the Unions and Guilds have organized and struck and maintained the Networks as 100% Union Shops. It's not Leno's choice. I dig that Jay shouted out for the Union, some of his Union crew are friends of mine. But the crew is not Union because of Jay, the crew is Union because of the crew and the Unions.
