love those costumes!

(18,219 posts)Hopefully that is what it is. But with all the signs I have seen from actual rallies, we can never be sure.

(7,402 posts)The picture itself is a photoshop job though.
I made it to go with this thread:

(20,219 posts)I suspected immediately it was photoshopped. The kids' faces look too intelligent. And the boy is POINTING HIS TOE!! And extending his arms GRACEFULLY. That ain't MANLY, you know. No true patriot would .etc. etc. bargle! Argle! Blarghhh!!

(492 posts)And the poor "models" weren't holding up any signs at all -- and it's certainly likely that they spell better than the average (and, let's face it, even the 'above average') Teabagger.
Still, though it's photoshopped, it is truly a work of art. Well done, anonymous craftsperson!

Oh, and Omaha Steve, while we're talking grammar - it's "look closely". verb... adverb...

(81,514 posts)Glad you're here! That photo is just pathetic. As are the people in it, or maybe to be more precise, those who "wrote" those posters. YIKES!!!!!!!! I wouldn't show my face around one of 'em. I'd hate to have people think I'm that ignorant. Assuming the costumed actors ARE the ones who wrote those inscriptions, I guess they just must not realize it, 'eh?
Who can know, much less understand, the "mind" of a tea bagger, anyway?

(15,160 posts)I have enjoyed DU and your posts for quite a while and decided it was time to join the conversation. Those signs were almost too pathetic to be true. I wasn't going to connect the two misspelled words - pubic and descent (meaning "going down" , because this is a family website

(35,748 posts)Too much copy. It's the wrong medium for the message they're trying to put out there.
But go ahead and waste your money, workerfreedom.org.

(8,377 posts)it isn't clear to me that it is actually an anti-union billboard.
If I were to see that sign without the misspelling, I think I would yell, "You go, UAW!!! Damn right!"
But the website for this organization of nitwits says "The Center for Worker Freedom is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to warning the public about the causes and consequences of unionization." No doubt it is another one of those AstroTurf sites funded by the Koch brothers.
Any real worker interested in freedom should be most concerned about his freedom to organize. The Koch brothers are only interested in workers' freedom to work and work until their bodies give up, and then die without any health care or other benefits.
