Dems Messaging Has More To Do With The Opposition Owning Almost All The Media.

We can thank Clinton for signing Telecom 96 the guaranteed the GOP pretty much taking over the media. It is bad enough that the Dems are not good at messaging or getting out the word. What makes it worse is that the have no true access to the media.
Even when they put out their message it is distorted, changed and rearranged. The message becomes unintelligible prattle by the time the media fucks it all up.

And the media really one tells one side of the story. The GOP side. And in a lot of cases the ignore, cover up or hide the real facts. Our media is no totally out of control and very much like the media that the Nazis created in Germany. Mostly RW propaganda.

it. No, the whole country has had it. So much of what we get now is distorted, just think what you would lose if corporations had total control of the internet.

Raygun's removal of the Fairness Doctrine was the kick to the groin, the Telecom Act of '96 was the forearm to the back of the neck, and the threatened abolishment of Net Neutrality would be the boot stomp to the back of the head....and democracy is left bleeding and broken unconscious on the street corner.

Control of the entire message is what they want.

Back to Raygun and the abolition of the Fairness Doctrine, in fact. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairness_Doctrine

Those here who truly believe that Clinton was as bad as Raygun had better rethink their politics and learn their political history one heck of a lot better than they know it now.

I get SO tired of the false equivalencies that I see on Du of all places. And yes, thanks for those who mentioned the awful Michael Powell, but the really bad stuff occurred even before him.

earlier today -- in terms of being silent. People were silent re the Jews because they did not want their own heads in the net. Those of us who can see this being repeated need to work extra hard on all local and state elections this coming season.

I saw a lecture yesterday which showed 1) a pyramid with the rich at the top and the middle class as a narrow slice below the rich and then 90% of the pyramid as the poor workers, and then as we used be 2) with a diamond shape with a small pyramid at the top of the rich and a small pyramid at the bottom of the poor and a large center for the middle class, and as we are now 3) with an hour glass with a larger top or rich and a narrow waist of middle class and larger bottom of the poor.

Scared me. So, please do not just post!! Volunteer as precinct workers in May and October. Please.
