I went to UMKC, which is loosely technically part of the UM system, but I did spend a lot of time at Columbia visiting friends My campus has no sports to speak of (go Fighting Roos!) but even when I was there, gay faculty or gay anybody was not even mildly controversial. So I'm not surprised by this response!

Good job Missouri. An excellent illustration of the difference between people and politicians. I will cheer for the U of M whenever I can.

The NFL is still one of the more homophobic organizations out there. This will probably hurt his draft chances. I'm not a talent scout, but from what I've read, he has the skills to play in the NFL. It would be a shame if he doesn't get his fair chance to do so.

I look forward to the day when things like this don't matter.

PRICELESS!

over the way my city and Alma Mater are reacting to this!! Everyone I know (especially Democrats) are so happy about it. Very pleased to identify as an honorary southern state (via SEC), thereby breaking another stereotype! Cheers to southern DUers!

The Hill and that M are a big big part of football at Mizzou so that picture says it all. Mizzou is very very proud of Michael Sam!
