Misclick Leads to Christian Organization Pulling Ads Off Rush Limbaugh

This week an errant mouse click led to a conservative Christian organization removing its ads from the Rush Limbaugh Show--and the admission by a Clear Channel account manager that Limbaugh's controversial rhetoric is "junk."

Here's how it went down...

A Flush Rush Facebook monitor in Vero Beach, Florida heard an ad during the Rush Limbaugh Show by an organization called "Right From The Heart."

Right From The Heart is a Christian organization that airs inspirational radio spots and operates a sermon-laden website. It is run by Atlanta Pastor Bryant Wright, head of 7,600 member super church Johnson Ferry Baptist and, until recently, President of the Southern Baptist Convention.

I wouldn't have even clicked on this thread if you hadn't been the OP -- I rarely pay much attention to the details of this sort of thing, I know it's just rotten (Limbaugh, Clear Channel, conservative Christian orgs)..

But I'm glad I read the link. It reminds me that people are people. Real people. Despite the context of the issue here, which is far beyond the control or influence of the people involved in this particular situation, something about this exchange reminded me that most people are good at heart and we all have more in common than we tend to see. Which is a truth I constantly try to tell other people about, but have to constantly try to convince myself of too.

So thanks for the link. I won't read the comments at kos, and maybe not even here at DU, because I don't want this mildly awkward feeling of appreciation for humanity to disappear.

"But Consuela wasn't feeling the apology"... good on her. I thought they were giving the apology the old college try but Consuela knew Better!
