3. Take this from someone who had to stoke a coal furnace

I grew up in an old coal town. My grandfather worked for the mine till it closed in 1932.
I spent my childhood shoveling coal and coal ash and stoking the furnace before going to bed.
There has not ever or ever will there be anything resembling "clean coal"
Every action to obtain, process, use, and dispose of the waste is either poisonous or deadly.
We might have gotten away with it when the worldwide population was a billion or so but we can't get away with it anymore.
