http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/20/ann-coulter-robert-de-niro-first-lady-joke_n_1368008.html?ref=topbarAnn Coulter tweeted her defense for Robert De Niro on Tuesday after the actor came under criticism for a joke he quipped at a fundraiser for First Lady Michelle Obama.
De Niro kicked off a New York City fundraiser in support of the First Lady Monday night by joking about the wives of the GOP candidates. "Callista Gingrich. Karen Santorum. Ann Romney," De Niro said. "Now do you really think our country is ready for a white first lady?

Coulter, on the other hand, felt differently. "Can we please stop the fake 'offended' routine? Pls explain what was allegedly offensive about DeNiro's joke," she tweeted.

OP
Ann is right. The joke is satire against racism not an attack on the wives of the candidates

I actually agree with Ann Coulter on something?...this surely, my friends, is a sign that the apocalypse is nigh.

Newt just needed something to fake outrage about to keep his name in the papers since it's obvious that the rest of the primaries are going to be about Mitt vs. Ricky. He's also being stupid in taking on a cultural icon like DeNiro.
We haven't heard much from Coulter lately. I wonder if she's decided that her bombastic personality is played out and is now going to try and appear somewhat more reasonable.

De Niro could claim that he meant it as satire, but now that Ann Coulter defends it, he realizes that he made a mistake.
Zing!
