LIVE: Minnesota legislators debating Voter ID amendment

this is the one of the biggest ALEC bill in MN.

MN Chair ALEC Legislator authored the Voter ID bill. She is an idiot and you can see it when she trys to defend the bill.

I'm sure this debate is similar to those in other states. It is amazing how much more intelligent the DFL is over the GOP.

The Minnesota House debates and will vote on a controversial constitutional amendment requiring a state-issued photo ID to vote in a Minnesota election. Expect a spirited debate based on what we’ve seen so far in committee hearings. If the bill passes and it is approved by the Senate it would be put on the Fall election ballot.

** putting an Amendment on to the Ballot is very rare in MN.. but unfortunately GOP took over State Senate and House and we were hit will several amendments to be on the ballot but on by ALEC Legislators.

Our wonderful DFL Gov Dayton as veto'd many of their ALEC written bills.. so they are resorting to putting Amendments on the Ballot.

Take a look at the Missouri GOP primary or the lousy ballot in Illinois. You could almost feel sorry for Republicans who want to express themselves by supporting the current flavor of radical demogauge. It is probably getting too expensive to rig elections so they just need to eliminate elections or make voting so painful no one wants to vote. Eliminate voting, eliminate democracy be a Republican.
