I'm a DEMOCRAT, so I'll hang out at DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND and work to change the DEMOCRATIC PARTY from within.

It's good to be pissed off, but not if you end up selling the whole country (and world) down the river.

Not saying YOU are uninformed; in fact, any intelligent person who is well informed SHOULD be pissed off.

But the teabaggers fall mostly into the misinformed pissed off category, and a large number of folks in the middle who are too busy (or disinterested) to adequately inform themselves (but nevertheless vote in big elections) can be swayed by crafty politicians who cater to the anger.

The real key for the Democats is to offer practical solutions that will turn that anger into positive action and defeat the rethugs in November.

Another key for Democratic politicians is to actually be part of the solution rather than cater to the Corporatocracy like rethugs.

Here's another I like.

"I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever, in religion, in philosophy, in politics, or in anything else, where I was capable of thinking for myself. Such an addiction is the last degradation of a free and moral agent. If I could not go to heaven but with a party, I would not go there at all." Thomas Jefferson to Francis Hopkinson, 1789.

But it sure could use some basic beliefs confirmed . . this stuff with corporations running the country is not pretty . . . and they won't allow change - has to be done with rules and votes by party members. A reformed platform or whatever..

Maybe the 3rd way can make a new party with their name on it since they do whatever they want. They are 1/2 way there now by pretending to be the Democratic party, and should call themselves Third Way on the ticket.
