"... PER YEAR"

Watching the Joe-less Morning Joe discuss the White House "taking the offensive" on the history of the ARRA (RW- named it the Stimulus Plan so they could say it didn't stimulate).

Andrea Mitchell, of course, was allowed to chirp in first. "1.6 Million jobs....just a drop in the bucket".
The former W office holder bellowed in that "Republicans BELIEVE... generational theft". Richard Haas was literally mouth agape as she spoke.

It wasn't until Eugene Robinson - Mika lead to him with "I heard the Al Gore sigh"- mention that the 1.6 Million jobs was "a year". He didn't accentuate that as much as he should have.

Notice how many times you hear "PER YEAR" in the coverage of the ARRA. Never mind the 40,000 miles of roads and 2,700 bridges that were repaired.
