Unfortunately, it may be to late...the destruction of a democratic form of government in NC is almost complete, and the birth of a new aristocracy has taken place. our Dem Governor Bev Perdue waited until the last minute to announce she wasn't going to run. The NC Dem party threw in a candidate at the last minute who had no name recognition and no funding. Also , the NC Dem party , who had been in control of the state for the last century was rocked by scandals.

As far as the legislature, Dems actually got more votes and should have gotten control of the Assembly but due to gerrymandering the Repubs got more seats. So, no the people of NC don't have a representative government.

The owner should have backed up his employee, or at least just told him to go back to work. If that wasn't good enough for the governor, I would have told him to take his business elsewhere. Citizens should have the right to tell their governor how they feel, whether they're at work or not.

It's not like he was attending a political rally outside the workplace that his employer disagreed with and fired him. If the employee was rude to the Governor while he was there as a customer, then he should have been fired.
