Cable television is a dying industry. No one I know under the age of 30 (and quite a few around the 40 mark) has subscribed to cable. It's quite possible to avoid cable altogether these days with various internet services. Of course, these will become the new monopolistic devils, but ....

Broadband internet service is another issue altogether. We should be more concerned about that from the proposed merger.
