well sonny seems like ya thinkin black and white! since i was sta. in tex. in 1957 and I'm of irish and french heritage and Caucasian I figure with the experience I had I'm more than qualified to answer you. ya see I rented a trailer in killeen tex. from a retired rebel military guy! he also owned a car wash! And he used colored help that worked under the table for 30cents per hour!
well I was raised catholic but most of my military friends were Methodists. esp the guys on the bases baseball team. well anyway we had a sun afternoon game and 3 of us decided to go to the church a 100 yds .from where I rented the trailer. well I must say I tan real well and had black wavy hair. as we approached the door two guys stepped in front of me and said no cajuns allowed! the 3 of us stood back to back until the police arrived- we done well -a few of the righteous didn't ! so don't tell me about black v/s white or any other stupid in grained asshole union lies and we won't mention the hired thugs used to beat the workers in to being scared to vote union!
and that baptist minister preached every week about the evil of unions! just look up black lung-you used a poor choice -this is propaganda from the right!

Nobody today is arguing if Unions of the past were a good thing or not. The discord isn't over pre-1960's safety improvements but over people seeing their jobs outsourced to lower wage area's. If you want to build support stick to post 1970's efforts and bringing jobs back home.
