GOP Race in Disarray as Ted Nugent Emerges as Frontrunner

WASHINGTON - The race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination was in turmoil today, courtesy of a new poll showing rock guitarist Ted Nugent the prohibitive favorite to win the race. In a hypothetical matchup, the "Wango Tango" artist easily trounced such highly touted contenders as New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. Mr. Nugent, who had earlier this week apologized for calling President Obama a "subhuman mongrel," said he was now rethinking that decision. "In politics, it's important to stay on message," he said.

Yes, Andy Borowitz...

However, if the Democrats don't have the Senate or House, what good is it? We need to ensure that every Democrat votes in 2014 to keep the Senate and win the House. That is so imperative and important. That should be our "Job 1". If we let the Republicans take over the Senate and keep the House, I am not even sure they will care about 2016.

Hey, I just like big words..... and sounding ponderous...

But seriously, you really hit the most important point.
A much MUCH better possibility exists for us all, but it's not gonna happen by itself.

I mean, everyone' s got their vision and sees different issues as priorities--or life or death critical. Good, fine. It's all good....

But for the 2014, none of the bickering matters. Just spread the word that we gotta get straight democratic votes. And lots of 'em. Cuz NONE of what this world needs is gonna happen if repukes succeed in scamming the election. As we know, they will be trying like hell.

Whatever ideas we could come up with for spreading the point around that this IS job #1 would be a wise use of time. (I'm looking at you, Blanche. *ahem*)

Also, recognizing trolls around here for what they are, and not getting sucked in......lol, easier said than done, but minimizing my angry reactions would be a good challenge. (*ahem* Haaaa! ) ...

anyway, more realizations about why we need to focus, and why it's so important for us all == would be a good thing.

Woa, it's late. ...I better turn into a pumpkin.

As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron. H.L. Mencken

Love to see quotes like this - Bravo. Mencken is one of my favorite, a true skeptic and wit.

If a politician found he had cannibals among his constituents, he would promise them missionaries for dinner

In this world of sin and sorrow there is always something to be thankful for; as for me, I rejoice that I am not a Republican
