I just want to scream everytime I hear

people talk about the minimum wage on TV. STOP CALLING IT MINIMUM WAGE!!!!

The discussion should be about earning a LIVING WAGE! Anybody that works full time should have a right to earn a living wage. He/She should be able to provide a home, food, clothing, healthcare for his/her family. People can understand the concept of a living wage, the phrase minimum wage brings out the nuts who can't stand people who live in poverty. You can raise the minimum wage and people will still live in poverty.

Nothing will change until we alter the conversation towards the concept of a living wage.

Walmart expects the Federal Govt. (and by extension the taxpayers) to assist THEIR employees with public assistance rather then paying their employees a living wage. This leaves more money for the Walmart heirs to put into their own pockets. This is so wrong.

what you mean, but the reality is the minimum wage is a bare minimum and I think using "living wage" makes it sound better than what it really is. I agree in theory, but the reality is the media is going to make anything that benefits the workers sound bad. Businesses and conservatives don't like the concept of minimum wage and they own the media and/or have the money to buy the ads so they will make any term sound bad.
