I no longer live in Appalachia, but grew up in the eastern part of Kentucky (Paintsville). I have lived in Lexington basically since I came to go to college.

I also grew up in one of Kentucky's Appalachian counties (on the edge of the region - not one in the heart of the coalfields). I live in central Kentucky now but I'm still interested in Appalachia.

I loved visiting there.
I grew up in Georgia and Tennessee.
