This is capitalism. And all that has to happen is a majority of shareholders decide that profits ARE more important than climate change and Tim Cook is history. That's what capitalism means. Money gets the most votes, one way or another.

That's also why it's the SYSTEM, not the actors. Even actors within the system that want to do the "right thing" will eventually get taken down.

That's a laugh, that is. Apple has a massive carbon footprint. Apple stores? The interior features stainless steel panels imported from Japan. To say nothing of the carbon footprint involved in sourcing their components where they do and building them in factories in China powered by coal. Are they planning to change any of those practices, then? Because that would look like serious commitment to environmental activism.
