Oh snap, I just did it myself. I hate myself.

(5,455 posts)It's ALWAYS the anti-gun gun crowd that equates sex with firearms. That's weird and really kind of sick. Sounds like you're the one who has the issues with sex and firearms.

There is a lot of hate in you. Can't imagine going through life with that much hate in me.
I'm not pro gun, I'm not anti gun. I do have a few guns in my home, however.
Sometimes I do have a tendency to see men who love guns as having a particular penile fixation. Or, to put it another way, it often seems to me that they're trying to compensate for what they feel they may lack.
Whether that's true or not...who knows.
IMO, the person you've been fighting with here wasn't equating the GUN with sex. He seemed to be saying that gun-types were likely having paroxysms of delight over the fact that one of the few hundred times already this year humans died, it wasn't by way of a gun.
He could just as easily have said that no doubt the gun lovers would be pissing themselves silly over it. But it came out the way it did.
I'm not saying he has a gun=sex obsession, but even if he did...
What's it to you?
Humans manage to find a hundred ways to kill each other, whether it's guns, knives, bombs, poison, crashing airplanes or whatever.
But you choose to focus on whether or not a random person on an internet discussion group has a guns=sex obsession. I just wonder why...

And I agree, the human species has been killing each other for thousands of years, be it with bare hands or nukes.

7. Thank god someone that intent on carnage wasn't armed like our gun fanciers.

11. A group of men, so could have been a dozen or more.
So don't get all hot and bothered with your NRA issued talking points, gungeoneers.

13. Sad news,
the only thing possibly sadder are people trying to turn it into an American Gun issue.
15. Hello?
Turning it into a gun issuer here is SADDER than all those poor folks dead and wounded in China? Pull it out, screwball.

We both know that's going to happen. After Sandy Hook, many were pointing to knifing incidents that hadn't even killed anyone, trying to make that same argument.

Yang Haifei, a Yunnan province resident who was being treated at the hospital for wounds to his chest and back, told Xinhua that he was buying a ticket when he saw a group of people, most of them dressed in black, rush into the station and start attacking people.

And it's pretty miserable for Uyghurs now, as the government is trying to turn Xinjiang into a Han dominated province through oppression and population transfers. It doesn't help that their's heavy discrimination against them in other parts of China as well.
