Hearing seeks justice for Tejpal Singh
Theres a murder hearing in Queens Supreme thats the best show in town.
In drama worthy of Perry Mason, witnesses who helped convict Tejpal Singh of murder are revealed as liars.
Singh was found guilty of a fatal 1996 shooting that occurred against the backdrop of a feud between Sikh factions in Queens. He has contended for years that he was framed.
Two weeks ago, the first witness against him, Ranjit (Rocky) Singh (no relation, all Sikh men have the name Singh), was revealed on audiotape as a complete liar, asking for $500,000 to recant his original testimony.
Then Sukhjinder (Kala) Singh testified last Thursday in this hearing, which is about setting aside the guilty verdict and lied all through his testimony.
