CO-GOV frontrunner: "I hope and pray we don't see another civil war, but..."

(Reposted with permission from ColoradoPols.com)

In the eight years since former Congressman Bob Beauprez's last political campaign, he has kept busy authoring a political blog, A Line of Sight, and making the rounds of various conservative talk-show and online media outlets. During the last few years, as we probably don't need to remind our longtime readers, rhetoric from the "Tea Party"-aligned Republican Party has become…strident where the administration of President Barack Obama is concerned.

Here's a clip we were forwarded from a 2012 interview with Beauprez on theDove TV, discussing the implications of that favorite of right-wing "scarelore" stories, the dreaded U.N. Small Arms Treaty. As we've discussed in this space a number of times, the U.N. Small Arms Treaty, intended to regulate international trafficking in small arms, does not pose any threat to the rights of Americans to keep and bear arms.

ATKINSON: You know Congressman, this, this, I don't even like going down this road, but if this saw the light of day, and God forbid that it would, but if this saw the light of day, wouldn't this be a modern-day civil war in this country?

Why do there have to be so many losers in politics? Can't they make a few bucks doing odd jobs and leave the rest of us alone?

He's the Second Coming. He's the presumptive GOP frontrunner anyway.
