but it looks like the party might be waking up. The rout of Democrats in 2010 was heavily felt by the Blue Dogs.

When given a choice between a fake GOP and the real thing, they'll vote for the real thing.

Every single leap one has to make to make it the fault of liberals is incorrect to the point of being outright stupid, but that doesn't slow 'em down. Apparently the take away from getting our asses handed to us in 2010 is that we really need to get rid of all these stupid leftists and their whining about the poor.

You have to admit, "If we lose, it's proof we were too far left!" combined with "If we win, it's because America doesn't want politicians that are too far left!" is pretty convenient.

Very clumsy strawman in the OP. The parties loudly and deliberately differ on social issues that the One Percent could not care less about. On economic and police state issues important to the One Percent, they quietly move in the same direction.

to buy the best?

No one expects a republican to be anything but 100% corrupt, anti-human, and anti-democratic. They can fuck us all every which way while killing the planet and making money for the 1%, <---this is the basic Koch Bros. agenda ~ and that always gives a republican a better chance of being elected by their conservative constituents.

DINO's, on the other hand, have to at least maintain the illusion that they actually give a shit about us, while they are selling us, and the planet, out to the highest corporate bidder. Otherwise, they couldn't even get nominated.

Real Dems, like the person who spoke the quote below, are the polar opposite of republicans, they will always speak honestly and try to do their best to do what is most beneficial for us, and the planet.

Like this, for example...
