Bobby Jindal was 5 when Carter become President

Jindal was 9 when Carter left office.

“To President Carter, I want to issue a sincere apology. It is no longer fair to say he was the worst president of this great country in my lifetime...


I'm sorry he has such bad memories of such important parts of his childhood.

that's why I supported Ted Kennedy in 1980 (though I did vote for Carter in the general).

I like him far more as a former president.

He probably would have been reelected if Reagan & Bush hadn't decided winning the election was important they committed treason with their deal with Iran.

I thought he was an honorable man that surrounded himself with clods. I'd be OK having him as a neighbor or building a deck for me, but as president, not so much.

...to what Obama was handed. Carter was turning it around, but the the Iran Hostage crisis happened and the scumbags framed our future around something that was NOT his fault (i.e. the CIA's overthrow of a democratically-elected government and put a stooge - the Shah - in his place).

He became a GOP governor in a state with a lot of racial problems. Nikki Haley became GOP governor of probably the most racist state in the country.
