Mont. couple accused of letting 2-year-old smoke pot

BOZEMAN, Mont. - A Montana couple faces charges for allegedly letting a 2-year-old boy smoke marijuana.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports Lucas Wilson and Camilla Samuels were charged on Feb. 27 with felony and misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child. A $50,000 arrest warrant was issued for Wilson. No warrant was issued for Samuels.

Court records say the investigation began in August 2013 when Samuels' mother told investigators she found a video on her daughter's phone showing Wilson's son putting a pipe in his mouth.

Prosecutors say both Wilson and Samuels told investigators they let the boy smoke marijuana five times since August. Wilson said it would make the boy mellow.

It didn't kill him. You can't overdose. I lived around a couple who's 3 year old smoked pot in the 80's, and he was just fine. And back then, pot was more powerful. This is so overblown. If I had a kid I wouldn't freak out over this. I wouldn't let them smoke it till they were old enough, or needed it for meds. But I see nothing wrong in what they did. At least it wasn't tobacco, or beer.

it was child abuse.

toddlers should not be ingesting pot unless it's medically indicated-as in the case of some seizure conditions.

Oh, and pot is MORE powerful now then it was in the 80s.
