Are Russia, China, etc. now First-And-A-Half World nations?

IIRC, the First World and Third World are ordinal-ly separated by the Second World, which was the industrialized, state controlled economies—aka, the Communist countries.

It seems that China and Vietnam and the Former USSR are all—though to different degrees—considerably more free market today than they were in the 1970s, but still lack the median wealth or robustness of individual freedoms we associate with a First World country.

So I guess they are First and a Half World.

North Korea remains Second World, and is really pulling down the category.

I don't know if this was part of the category, but I think a Fourth World category is appropriate for the "failed state" that is more an anarchy or a piracy economy than a modern economic sphere.

the entire planet is growing more techno-fascist, we are all converging on a new form of totalitarianism. But indeed, Russia has declared shenanigans on the whole US Global Hegemony thing, with China lurking in the background. While I despise the Russian autocracy and the Chinese "new way communist" shitheads, I celebrate pushback on our pomposity.

than $100 per month or year. Something very small. I've read that the three or four world model is no longer effective since it was based on the capitalism/communism two world powers and their allies.
