"Doctor" with a Bible complex...

How did this asshole make it through medical school, anyway?

(Anyone care to bet this guy was one of the "Doctors who smoke Camels?&quot

(Dr Steve) Hotze was able to better articulate his views in 1986, when he was one of dozens of ministers, professionals and laypersons who signed the Coalition on Revival's Manifesto for the Christian Church. The coalition claims on its Web site to be a national network of religious leaders aligned in a mission "to help the Church rebuild civilization on the principles of the Bible so God's will may be done on earth as it is in heaven." They want all aspects of life -- government, science and education -- to adhere to fundamental biblical beliefs. These beliefs include the following:

• A wife may work outside the home only with her husband's consent

• "Biblical spanking" that results in "temporary or superficial bruises or welts" should not be considered a crime

• No doctor shall provide medical service on the Sabbath

• All disease and disability is caused by the sin of Adam and Eve

• Medical problems are frequently caused by personal sin

• "Increased longevity generally results from obedience to specific Biblical commands"

• Treatment of the "physical body" is not a doctor's highest priority

• Doctors have a priestly calling

• People receiving medical treatment are not immune from divine intervention or demonic forces

• Physicians should preach to their patients because salvation is the key to their health

2. Really? No doctor shall provide medical service on the Sabbath? In what "gospel" is that?

And again He entered the Synagogue, where there was a man with a withered hand. And they watched to see whether He would heal on the Sabbath day so they could accuse Him. Then He said to the man with withered hand, Come forward. And He asked them, Is it right to do a good deed on the Sabbath, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? but they said nothing. He glanced around, mourning the hardness of their hearts, and said to the man, Put forth your hand. And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored entirely. Then the Pharisees left and immediately met with the Herodians to plot to destroy Him

All you need to read is this from his website:

"Suzanne Somers dedicated an entire chapter to Dr. Hotze in her New York Times best seller, "Breakthrough". “This Texan doctor is going to steal your heart,” writes Somers. “He has so much energy he can’t wait to get to his office each day. He has built up a practice that is the envy of doctors everywhere." "

And this:

Member of The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons which is a politically conservative bunch of fuckwits formed to fight the evils of Socialized medicine.

I personally, as a Doctor myself, would never and I mean never visit a physician that would belong to this group. They really don't have the patient first on their list of "things to do".

5. I doubt Hotze smokes anything-he might not even eat bacon.

He certainly is doing what my wife says. She says, "people don't change, they just become more of who they really are." Hotze was an arrogant jerk in high school and has matured quite despicably.

'Treatment of the "physical body" is not a doctor's highest priority'

That's their JOB!

'Medical problems are frequently caused by personal sin'

That is one of the most wicked attitudes to sick people that one can have (and is not uncommon in a more subtle form).

'No doctor shall provide medical service on the Sabbath'

So he is explicitly siding with the Pharisees against Jesus!
