Florida man caves to wife’s demands and removes KKK flag, noose from lawn

The Florida man who flew a Ku Klux Klan flag on his front lawn was defiant in the face of national outrage.
But he crumbled before his wife.

A man who identified himself as K. Hayes removed KKK and Confederate flags, a noose and a "Members Wanted” sign from his Boca Raton property on Wednesday. Wife Marla Curley said she ordered Hayes to take down the symbols because she was fed up with all the negative media attention.

Hayes has yet to issue an apology. So his wife did it for him.

“I’ll apologize, will that make you feel better?” Curley asked WPTV. “I apologize for my husband putting that up.”
The controversial display appeared in front of the mobile home several weeks ago. On his business card, Hayes called himself a recruiter for the KKK. Neighbors thought he was trying to recruit children into the organizations. They were frightened and angered, but Hayes said he didn’t care about other people’s opinions.

And her "apology" was specious. “I’ll apologize, will that make you feel better?” Curley asked WPTV. “I apologize for my husband putting that up.” - basically a sorry you were offended, not that what he did was wrong.

"K" is an intriguing first name for a man who hung KKK flags on his property, don't you think?
