This suggests there may be considerable evidence to support the 18 U.S. Code § 793(d) charges against Snowden -- and it unfortunately casts a different light on Snowden's claim that his leaks benefited "every society in the world," because §793(d) refers to Whoever, lawfully having .. access to .. information relating to the national defense which .. could be used .. to the advantage of any foreign nation, willfully .. delivers .. the same to any person not entitled to receive it ... without regard to the question of provable harm done, the reason being, of course, that because foreign allegiances are not necessarily permanent, the present "advantage of any foreign nation" may translate into future "injury of the United States"
