Such statements are reflective of someone with an extreme lack of critical perspective.

It is disturbing to have positive thoughts about anything? You think it disturbing for anyone to prefer one President over another, like those lists of who are the 10 greatest and who do you think was the best? That's "disturbing?"

The OP is a love letter. And that is highly inappropriate, and rather dangerous, to be so uncritical of the single most powerful person in the US government.

The OP is not a "love letter." In today's culture, people saying they love things they like is very common. It is not "dangerous" to like the current or any President. One does not have to be a critical person. I can say I think Obama does a great job in the Presidency. You seem to have a standard that one has to look at the President as All Powerful and Dangerous.

Young and idealistic. Hopeful that the president elect would somehow live up to the grandiosity of his campaign. I'm just a little older now, incomparably more educated and possess a far firmer grasp on political reality.

I was watching Obama's speech on the minimum wage and someone in the crowd yells "I love you!" He will say in those situations, "I love you back." Is this a terrible, indecorous proceeding, not worthy of the office of the Presidency?

There is none here. Some people are not negative about everything and some people like other people/things. Some people don't hate everyone else.
