Ted Cruz: Pro-Choicers Chant 'Hail, Satan' To Silence Opponents

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said supporters of abortion rights chant "Hail, Satan" to silence their opponents.

"Arm-in-arm, chanting 'Hail, Satan,' embracing the right to take the term of a late-term child," Cruz said referring to abortion rights supporters, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The junior senator from Texas made the comments at an event for the Susan B. Anthony List. He was referencing a right-wing story about a few young people caught on video chanting "Hail, Satan" to counter pro-life protesters singing "Amazing Grace" at the Texas state capitol last July during the debate over a restrictive anti-abortion bill the legislature ultimately passed.

Meanwhile, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said abortion rights supporters support a "culture of death."

Hell, my favorite routine is to tell them I have an IUD and it could be aborting a baby (pause) right (pause) now. Then I drop my voice down into a dramatic whisper and ask them if they heard something.

Oh, and if they have the little plastic fetuses I ask if I can have some for my Halloween display, tell them they'd look great strung up like a garland between the dangling bats.
