Former Gov. Jon Cozine's son, Jeffrey Corzine, is dead at the age of 31, a spokesman for the family has confirmed.

A spokesman for Corzine provided no details of the death, but said the former governor is devastated by his son's loss.

"Mr. Corzine is obviously devastated by this tragic loss," said his spokesman, Steven Goldberg. "We ask that all respect his family's privacy during this very difficult time."

Jeffrey Corzine was a photographer and was Jon Corzine's youngest son with his ex-wife Joanne.

According to a source close to the former governor, Jeffrey Corzine died on Tuesday.
