They come in without being welcomed, when they don't belong and without you knowing how they got in (George W. Bush), they absolutely refuse to leave, (Bush's second White House term), suck copious amounts of blood, (Romney, Santorum), and leave large, itchy red welts on the skin in their wake (FEMA, after hurricane Katrina and 9/11). Also they resist the usually successful attempts to get rid of them that normally work. (Obama Democratic election to the White House in 2008.)

What do you folks think?

I wonder if that 'moran' ever found out it's spelled morons. In the south here we call that 'the pot calling the kettle black'. The guy that said that was obviously a member of 'redneck right' in high standing. I reiterate that rednecks should not have access to the internet.

Then some others came up. See if you can think of more. Oh, they're both ugly! And both make a terrible mess when you splatter them!

One is a blood sucking parasite that's almost impossible to get out of your bedroom and the other is just an insect.

was the chemical DDT. It was banned because of the hazards it posed to wildlife and the environment. The primary means for getting rid of Republicans-oversight and transparancy in government and business-was also banned-because of the hazards it posed to Republicans.

That's a good point you make Enrique. But it brings out an interesting and fundamental difference.
Whereas Bed Bugs are usually found in trashy, run down flop houses, Republicans are normally found in elite, top of the line five star hotels. This is an important difference which is a key point in determining which species is causing the infestation. (Incidentally some times the two species are still found together despite this common divide.)

Is a symbol that stands for strength, solidarity, and unmoving constitution. The Bed Bug stands for parasitism, infestation, misery, fear, and the general failing health of a nation. Perfect for a bloodsucking parasite party that moves in, cannot be gotten rid of and harms the health of an entire country driving it to desperation.

Whereas Bed Bugs simply invade your bed to suck blood, Republicans seek to go a step further and invade your sex life attempting to interfere with your rights to birth control! This is yet another important distinction between these two loathesome Cimex Species!
