but we watch out for each other because we are good friends and care about each other.

We always look out for new neighbors and try to make them feel at home and part of our neighborhood. This is a wonderful, amazing thing because we are live close to the downtown area of a large city, an area which is under a gang injunction. There is graffiti on the sidewalks, but we neighbors look out for each other.

We do not need to patrol with guns because we are here, and we ask friendly questions when strangers come and call the police when necessary. Strangers park in front of our house all the time. We say hello and are friendly. Since we started doing this, there haven't been any problems.
