Good Lawd! Sandusky's wife is just as bad and both she and Jerry are scarey!

<snip>
Matt Sandusky is not part of the legal case against the former Penn State football coach and his adoptive father, Jerry Sandusky. But in many ways, Matt’s story has become intertwined in the saga.
It’s a complicated story.

Matt lived with the Sanduskys through many of the years that abuse is alleged to have happened under the roof of their modest two-story home.
Within several hundred pages of evidence collected by investigators during a grand jury probe of

Jerry Sandusky are several police reports about the 68-year-old’s youngest adopted son.
Well before Sandusky was accused of being a child molester, Matt’s biological mother was the lone voice of concern when Sandusky took her son into foster care in 1996. Notes to her attorney show she challenged the court, made accusations of stalkinglike behavior against Sandusky and suspected abuse.
<snip>
Family and friends have said the relationship between Matt and Jerry Sandusky was controlling and rocky.
Matt’s biological brother, Ron Heichel, remembers being a teenager in the 1990s and trying to reach Matt at the Sandusky home.
Sandusky’s wife, Dottie, answered the phone.
“And she said, ‘He’s not your brother anymore.’ This was before he was even adopted,” he said.

This story is horrible. Read it all.
His wife needs to be there right beside him in the jail! Matt was his brother!
Evil, pure evil!

there's no way that she hasn't been aware of his "proclivities", considering his attraction to young boys and being so overt about keeping them around. If he raped that boy in the SHOWER AT THE UNIVERSITY, you know he did things to children in his home.

And at the time of placement in the Sandusky's home, had let his
brother take all the blame for setting a BARN ON FIRE.

that if he had been there he 'would have' been setting the fire with Matt. But since he wasn't there, why should he confess to something he did not do?

"Touched: The Jerry Sandusky Story."

You literally cannot make this shit up.

Anyway, pedophiles are master manipulators. If they are married or have a girlfriend, they have carefully selected that woman and groomed her just as they do with the victims. Often, this is done when a woman already has kids the pedo wants access to.

There are many red flags that ought to have alerted someone. Since this was a foster care situation, by definition, social services was involved, and yet nothing was done, depsite many reservations on the part of several people.

Class is also involved. Someone probably thought "Hey, this is a poor single mom, and the wonderful Jerry Sandusky wants this kid. What an opportunity for the kid!"

I was gonna quote Vonnegut from Mother Night, but I don't seem to have a copy of Mother Night that I can find. Or I have one that is lost in my forest of books. Perhaps SATAN/Mrs. Sandusky is hiding it from me.

Vonnegut's point, at least in the vignette I was gonna quote is that nobody is pure evil, and it is not a good thing to hate them like they are.

People have flaws. I do, you do, and she does. Sometimes fairly large flaws. The same people usually have virtues too.

Why do we do so much of this? Poring through muck, looking for flaws we can magnify.

"This story is horrible."

I once witnessed something I considered extremely horrible. A horrible accident. It has been tempting to talk about, but I refuse to do so. I don't want to share horror with others.

"Read it all"

In God's name, why? So I can be disgusted? So I can feel all virtuous and self-righteous by comparison?

As you walk along the path of life, you will pass by flowers and also piles of dog poop. You stop and smell the roses, or you should. You should not stop and smell the dog poop, or sift through it looking for maggots.

If you don't at least understand that the dog poop is there or acknowledge it when it is, it will never go away. It would be so lovely if there were only flowers.

I am a survior of abuse. DON'T tell me what is evil or how I should view someone. I consider abuse one of the worst possible crimes. It affects the rest of your life and the lives around you.

I don't talk about it in every post. I talk about it when I feel I need to. This is important because people like Sandusky's wife are enablers and a part of the problem. People have to recognize that.

I didn't read it or ask others to read it so I could feel virtuous. I want people to know what happens when abuse occurs. It can be an act that others are complicit in.

You stay on that clean, rosy, mythical path. Your feet and nose are in the midde of a mess that you may not want to recognize.

I don't get up every day and google chid abuse. Neither do I shy from confronting it when it appears.

Enablers are equally guilty because they make it easier for the addict to get hold of whatever it is he needs to feed his addiction. In the case of Dottie Sandusky, she actually helped him secure his victims by turning a knowing blind eye. Perhaps she would have been better served looking for the one big maggot and then cleaning up the mess by reporting him. It would have saved a lot of young boys from the horrors of being molested.

are every bit as guilty - and that needs to be repeated constantly. Especially when it comes to abuse of young children, the enabler is often the only one that can help these kids. They choose not to. They are equally as sick in my eyes. She should be held accountable as well.
