I've had several of those, the most recent a month ago. My insurance was billed $2050, but they paid less than $100, and I had to pay about $325 to meet my deductible. My previous ones were in the same range, with the insurance paying a bit more (different provider then compared to now).

I've had lots of heart issues the last several years -- my experience is that insurance usually pays 30-50 percent of what the hospital/doctor bills them for. Sometime in the next few months, I'll have mitral valve surgery, which will probably run into six figures.
