I think it's a misnomer to lump in Hispanics with Whites when so few qualify. People from Argentina seem to be the most Caucasian-looking but Penelope Cruz is from Spain and has pretty dark skin.

Hispanic is an ETHNICITY, not a race. It is an ethnicity that encompasses all races.

Instead, he got into a tangle and shot an innocent kid. He ended one life and has ruined his own (whether he goes to jail or not, he will always be the guy who shot the kid with the Skittles).

This is pure speculation on my part, but it wouldn't be the first time someone had Death Wish fantasies who found out that the reality of killing another person isn't nearly as attractive as the fantasy.

A person can commit a hate crime - such as targeting black teens - without identifying as racists. Such a person might very well insist that they weren't racist. We see this all the time. And there are always individuals in minority groups who are willing to be used by the majority. See Clarence Thomas.

Even if George Zimmerman was not racially profiling black people, and did not shoot Trayvon because he was black, George Zimmerman still did shoot Trayvon dead and therefore this case needs to be investigated. Zimmerman and his allies did everything they could to make it go away and ensure that there would be no investigation. They failed. This constant attempt at spin is nothing but obfuscation.

WHAT oh WHAT does Zimmerman have on the local PD? Blackmail pictures of the Chief? His dad has friends with the local cops? What? I see nothing here that merits such a risk like the PD is taking by hanging an albatross around the departments neck.
