EDIT: Argument focused on Religious Freedom Restoration Act, are corps persons, was govt requirement of coverage a substantial burden, does govt have compelling interest, and has govt chosen least restrictive means.

Kennedy's position unclear, made points/questions for each side.

Roberts suggested 'compromise.'

Listen to audio Friday, read transcript now. Might be on C-SPAN radio this weekend, and/or on TV and on line.

I wonder why it takes them so long to release the decision.

There is more to do other than hear the attorney's oral arguments.

The Justices and their law clerks will do research - the Justices will debate the case amongst themselves - both sides will write up an opinion - the Justices will take time to ponder the facts, law, and comments of the other Justices - then the Justices will vote.

Lots to do before the final decision is announced to the public.

Actual decision has to be made after Conference, 'writer' selected, writer has to draft proposed decision, share with other Justices, separate opinions and dissents have to be drafted, and this is the case with all the cases the Court is considering. Most decisions are issued May/June, before Court's 'summer' recess.

At least we will know before they recess which is good news. It sure sounds like they have a lot to do.
