Paul Ryan's 'Joke' Budget Doesn't Go Far Enough For Sarah Palin

CATHERINE THOMPSON – APRIL 2, 2014, 6:51 AM EDT

House Budget Chair Paul Ryan (R-WI) released his budget blueprint on Tuesday -- April Fools' Day -- and even though the proposal was real, it gave Sarah Palin quite a shock.

"The latest Ryan (R, Wisconsin) Budget is not an April Fool’s joke," Palin wrote in a Facebook post. "But it really IS a joke because it is STILL not seeing the problem; it STILL is not proposing reining in wasteful government overspending TODAY, instead of speculating years out that some future Congress and White House may possibly, hopefully, eh-who-knows, take responsibility for today’s budgetary selfishness and shortsightedness to do so. THIS is the definition of insanity."

Ryan's budget slashes Medicare under Obamacare and contains deep cuts to social programs, but according to Palin those measures won't sufficiently balance the budget. She invoked the Wisconsin Badgers, headed to the NCAA men's basketball Final Four, as an example of the "sacrificial work ethic and discipline" she thinks Ryan would do well to learn form.

"The solution is staring us in the face," the former vice presidential candidate wrote. "We need to rein in spending today, and don’t tell me there is nothing to cut when we know every omnibus bill is loaded with pork and kickbacks."

that comments on how much of our tax dollars goes to corporate welfare; I'm not sure how they arrived at the figure, but it was some staggering amount. But I'm guessing that while in theory Palin would be opposed to that, in practice she'd much rather cut government programs than corporate giveaways.

Of course, one needs to ask Sarah if pork and kickbacks include the farm subsidies that her buddies Michele Bachmann and the pig castrator likely benefit from.

The enormity of the stupidity of SP's fans is inconceivable.
