TGIF! Heres a little dose of inspirational positivity to start your weekend off right.
The video message this Kid President recorded for his baby nephew on the first day of his life doesnt just pertain to babies. His wise-beyond-his-years advice is something we could all stand to pause and reflect on.

(21,043 posts)Luckily, he has Level 1 (not 2, 3, or 4), which means he is likely to go on to live a life as close to normal as is possible. He is limited, he is disabled by his illness, but he is the most optimistic child...

(83,898 posts)Amazing child. Does he whine, weep and wail about it? Does he fling blame at the world at large for his Osteogenesis Imperfecta?
No he does not, he is bright, witty and sassy. He takes on the world with laughter and so much brilliant insight. He does not hold on to anger for what happened to him, no instead he soldiers on bless his heart.
Thanks Sarah.

(83,898 posts)Osteogenesis imperfecta, a lifelong, chronic condition, affects between 25,000 and 50,000 adults and children in the United States. Its a rare genetic bone disease characterized by a lack of normal collagen needed to form strong bones. The result is frequent bone fractures, sometimes for no apparent reason. There are different degrees of OI, ranging from a neonatal type, often fatal, to a very mild type that can be under diagnosed.

For this sweet child, anger is not a gift. His giving soul is about life and laughter, and he does it well.
While some feel the need to rant and wail, this child soldiers on. I have respect for one so young to be so wise.
Thank you, Cha for adding that quote.
Some of us are better at handling what life throws in their face. They handle it with dignity and not blame. These are the people that will help define our future. Out of the mouths of babes~
I am in awe.
