but females have been MPs for as long as I know. I was acquainted with a female MP in bayji (2003) who was an absolute killer. She was glorious.

good soldiers understand we live or die together. Frankly I dont care what you are or where you are from, if you get that, you can be on my team.

. . . I hate to say that I've noticed that in the immediate aftermath, the media always gives us a story like this whether it happened or not. The media wants to sell a hero story and will bend initial facts to get one.

I hope this act of bravery did really happen, but don't be so inclined to believe the first reports.

What I find hard to believe is they got details of the story right so soon, that applies whether the hero is a male or female. As I said, it's practically a reflex to look for a story of heroism in such a horror. Sometimes, immediately after the trauma, people squint too much to find one. Reporters will run with such a story with no verification.

Including, and most especially, when they report something to a general. All that means is we'll probably never find out exactly what happened now because witnesses are afraid of contradicting the authority.

I won't believe any detail that comes out within 72 hours of a shooting, except, the body count and maybe the identity of the shooter (but remember they fingered Adam Lanza's brother).

Human perception and memory just aren't that reliable. That's been demonstrated in experiments time and again. It's especially true when trauma, hopes and psychological needs are entangled. People crave something redemptive in an event this heinous. It's a coping mechanism.

There have been female MP's for a long long time, not to mention female officers in every branch from top to bottom.
You've got a LOT of cheerleading to do if you are going to celebrate every female soldier doing her job, .... all while being able to do her job while female.

currently serve in the infantry although plans to do that are in the works. IMO that is the biggest mistake since creation of the all volunteer army.

The biggest mistake is that women do not currently serve (that's how I read it, but I see how it can be read both ways.)
