hosts need to take lessons on how Limbaugh talks..his voice and inflections..it seem liberal talk show hosts are either whining or angry...
Take lessons from those who succeed...do not be original or real...be successful!!!!!!!!

(4,840 posts)Limbaugh has been angry and whining since the start. And he sounds like Porky Pig. It's not his voice...angry, hateful people will get used to any voice as long as it is giving them an excuse to hate others.
The guy is completely repulsive and it doesn't matter because his audience just wants to hate and he gives them what they want.

(14,498 posts)Alas... style is important. The bombast. The dramatic pause.
Shoot me. It makes for good radio.
Some liberal talk show people are good style-wise. I like Tom Hartmann.
But Limbaugh is *really* good. Again: I mean as a *performer*.

(13,556 posts)there were some stations that would air their shows.
The only reason Limpballs has the numbers he has is the amount of stations that have inundated him in every market. In some markets, he's like on 4 or 5 stations.
Deregulation which has resulted in radio being owned by just a few RW corporate companies has pretty much killed AM radio.

(36,281 posts)Their stock in trade will always be divisiveness. In my mind, that means they are much more deeply invested in the country's problems than they are in finding workable solutions. Plus the general shrillness turns me off big time. When the radio starts talking politics, I change the station.
