Tater and Moonpie
They are 3 month old sisters. They are sweeties who explored every inch of the vet's office including the counters they jumped on from the examination table.
Scat claims they are spawn of Satan. She may take a while to convince.

Kittens' and puppeh's in the real discussion forums that are allowed to continue
represent an attack on credibility to DU...
Put these cure but useless posts in the DU lounge where they belong....

PS: I hate cats and love dogs and all the stories and personally stories about both. But I don't care
to read this fluff in General Discussion....

(2,817 posts)Go to "My Account" > "Trash Can" > and in the box for "Trash it" type in CAT. Or you can put the person that bothers your little world on ignore. It's easy!
Of course you probably won't.

(1,656 posts)..General Fluff....
General Discussion is about *real issues* that is *general*....
Get it Mock...?
mockmonkey
(2,817 posts)Skinner and Elad give you the tools to use to make DU what you want but you refuse to use them, I guess. You want the mods (there are no mods) and the Admin to fix it the way you want so that it makes it that way for everyone instead of just fixing it yourself.
Skinner has said that the occasional cat thread in GD was not an issue. If one or two a day is too many for you, well you can alert. How about that! You can do it yourself.
So I get it. DU is never going to be taken seriously on the world stage because someone posted about their pet in GD.
RIP....DU

First, DU was about real issues and discussion...
Second, Fluff, would be, indeed, be welcome, but it was relegated to the fluff forums.. Not the intellectual, Democratic political real issues forums...

(1,203 posts)and I give a damn. I also like cats, and pictures of cats. If you don't, leave this thread, I doubt that you will be missed. Everybody here has a life that consists of more than just politics, and sometimes they like to share. It's called "being a human being". You might not be familiar with the concept.

(113,336 posts)"If I can't dance I don't want to be in [or a part of] your revolution." (also: "If I can't dance to it, it's not my revolution"
Widely attributed to Emma Goldman, but according to Goldman scholar Alix Kates Shulman, it was instead the invention of anarchist printer Jack Frager for a small batch of Goldman T-shirts he printed in 1973. In her memoirs, Goldman remembers being censured for dancing and states:
"I insisted that our Cause could not expect me to become a nun and that the movement should not be turned into a cloister. If it meant that, I did not want it. 'I want freedom, the right to self-expression, everybody's right to beautiful, radiant things.'" Living My Life (New York: Knopf, 1934), p. 56

(9,267 posts)Black and orange coats are sex-linked traits in cats, each appears on the X chromosome. Since males are XY, a male can be orange or black (or its variant, gray) but not both. Only females can have both orange and black fur (tortie). A calico is orange and black with white.
White is not sex-linked so a male can be black (or gray) with white, or orange with white, but not all 3.

(24,006 posts)Are these the kittens you met a few days ago? Nothing is more fun than a kitten except 2 kittens. They will entertain each other while Scat gets used to them. We have added many cats and kittens to our family over the years, and most of the time they have all worked it out - typically becoming buddies, and very occasionally just co-existing at respectable distances.
I eagerly await more pictures.

(899 posts)When we lost our last cat, we were left with just his brother. We started adopting by two's. Every time we visited the shelter, they would have them together in cages of two and couldn't bear to break them up. Our house is so full of love now, 6 rescues later.

(17,111 posts)I hate shelters because I WANT ALL OF THEM! Seriously, I am glad there are places that help.
They had two brothers who were completely black. I liked the girls though. My vet laughed because he said I always get the more dramatic pair.
I wasn't ready the first time. I was much better and these were the two who chose me. They jumped on my shoulders when the cage was opened.

(113,336 posts)you all share many years of love and joy and comfort. I am sure mousie approves. you will never stop loving her, she will never leave your heart, but I am so glad you found room for more love.

(24,006 posts)...message than Tater and Moonpie jumping onto your shoulders.
How did you choose their names?
Our 4th cat (we have 5) had a shelter name that had to be changed immediately. Her shelter name was Penny, which is my husband's ex-wife's name - no way we were keeping that. She is a tuxedo kitty, and I named her Chessie, because of her coloring, and also because I love the logo from the Chesapeake and Ohio rail line.

(34,402 posts)Scat will warm up to them, lol. I am so happy for you, AGG. There's nothing that lifts your spirits like the pitter patter of little kitten feet (well maybe not at 3:00 in the morfning...)
Congrats!
Do they have "Tortitude" yet?

(3,056 posts)SO cute! Nothing like a couple of young kittehs to fill the hole in your heart. Scat will probably be royally pissed for a while. But this way, the girls will play with each other, and (hopefully) leave Scat alone. My brother/sister act, Marilyn & Monroe, are 4 years old now, and still chase each other around like kittens.
