He'll have to stay true to that in his funny way...to maintain his appeal.

I certainly hope so....but I don't stay up that late....and we'll miss him!

Maybe now he can edu the older crown as to the nation's right wingnuts!

If he sticks with the political I would suspect his Corporate bosses would be on his ass right at the start.
If he changes into a different personna will his current fans stick with him? Are they the audience CBS wants?

It will be an interesting experiment no matter what. I believe that with Colbert's reputation there will be lots of interest at first to see which way it goes.

Had it been O'Brien or Craig Ferguson etc. everyone would have a pretty good idea what was coming. This is sure going to pique interest

Don't even know what time the show's on, as after MSNBC I do PBS (and movies w directv.)

because the republicans are too stupid to know that he's satire. Some of them think he's "one of them." I'd LOVE to have him take over for Letterman--as long as that creepy little musician guy doesn't stay on the show.
