It's a subjective opinion....

As for 'specific criticisms', there aren't any other than what I already said.

She is meh... Average.. OK...

I think she used to be better than she is now. I don't understand the sensitivity to the fact that I am not as enamored with Samantha Bee as you all seem to be.

She's funny and talented, no doubt about it, but those are some hard shoes to fill. Maybe if it was a whole new show/concept. I don't think anyone can really make the premise of the show carry on any longer as-is, though.

Her bits are amazing. She makes me cringe all the time, but so does Colbert. That is the point, they are using art to point out ignorance of all kinds. Her bit on erectile dysfunction was hilarious, cringe inducing and highly informative all mixed together in one skit. She is great and would be a huge hit, as long as they let her do her show, not a carbon copy of Colbert.

I think Jessica Williams would be another top candidate for a show. She is tremendously talented and so very smart. I do not know why she has not been snapped up by a producer for a project, long before this. Just goes to show how stupid most people in that business really are. I love it when Stewart has Ms. Williams on. If I were a producer, I would have her agent on speed dial for proposals.

and give more time to others on the show..

That would be the easiest to do and would give them time to flesh out something that would last.. The whole Colbert Show was a Kismet thing after O'Reilly started slamming Colbert.. I cannot see too many people being able to carry off a show like it, and anyone who tried would endlessly be compared to him.

She's hardly on the Daily Show whereas John Oliver hosted the show for a month! If Jon Stewart wanted to hone her chops he would have given her a week, at least. Of course, that ASSUMES she has any interest in hosting, and that's a HUGE ASSUMPTION!

Love to see it thought.
Ms Bee's timing and delivery are near picture perfect. But with SC taking the majority of the writing staff with him, Comedy central might have issues filling so many positions so quickly.
Add to that she will need to present a workable format to the executives.

Maybe a female aligned show split between Samantha Bee and Jessica Williams. The 51% who get 77% of the credit due.
