Concerning Posse Comitatus

Does the militarization of federal law enforcement create a back-door violation of Posse Comitatus? If the Army is forbidden from acting as police why are the police allowed to act as an army?

Honest question.

Personally, I'd like to see legislation or court cases forbidding these weapons and tactics.

I'm more concerned with tactics than weapons, although armor with police logos rolling down the street is pretty spooky.

It seems the cops are beginning to adopt a "shoot anything that moves" attitude to law enforcement.
