Crosspost from LGBT GroupThe gathering was sparked by anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church. Westboro church leaders had sent out a message via Twitter that they planned to come to town to protest last weeks announcement by UMass basketball player Derrick Gordon that he is gay, the first such revelation by a Division 1 mens college basketball player.
Ok all of that.... and this is all they can muster??

As the protestors lined up across the street from the WBC, their car came in, swept them up and the WBC ran like the cowards they are.

Nothing more stress-inducing than going through the sequences for turning off that old transmitter if no one was on after you.

(129,012 posts)and they are doing alot of building though (saw there was a new "honors" residential area)... I probably wouldn't half recognize the place now although I suppose going up Route 9 towards the campus, you probably still can't miss the cows and the library popping up like weeds out of nowhere.

Good to see that the place is still progressive.
