re: most of the coverage I've heard about the SCOTUS decision on healthcare...

Nearly every outlet seems to begin with the assumption that it will be struck down, if not entirely then significantly. The first three or four or five points made are about the overall conservative bent of the court and the passion of the opponents to the healtcare act. Only after the report has dug the grave and planted the stone for Obama's healthcare plan do they float the idea that maybe just maybe the SCOTUS will rule in its favor.

And then they quickly shift the topic to how difficult it will be for Obama if it does pass because then Republicans will be energized for November's election.

Damn that liberal media!

Sex isn't the only thing that sells. So does fear. In this case, they are selling the fear of the unknown. The discussion of the law being upheld doesn't generate alot of fear, because tomorrow will be just like today. But if it is overturned, who knows what tomorrow will bring.

So guess which one will be their focus.

I couldn't stomach their very obvious right wing slant.

Yesterday Robert Siegel spoke with two men--can't recall their names--but the advocate for the healthcare law did an excellent job defending it, to the point that even his opponent agreed that he'd done a fine job of articulating the "bright line" between healthcare and any other product in the market.

Still, by the end of it all, NPR had expressed the clear view that the law is doomed.

keep an eye on the feet not the head. This is going to pass by 5-4 margin, so don't worry about this if you support the individual mandate.

Ya know ... I am sure this has been covered in large part in other posts ...
(havnt been on in a while ....spring time and honey do .. )
but I really don't think President Obama is going to let his signature
plan go down in flames this easily ... he has cards he isn't showing ...
either that or he has something along the lines of single payer
as backup .... JMHO ....
