No one is ripping him for saying "negro." We're ripping him for painting all blacks as lazy and, even worse, "Wondering" if they were better off as slaves.

Well answer his question, as a slave they have meals, a home and family. Now they have public housing, out of control illegitimacy, and drug dealers.
There are serious issues with his statement just poorly stated.
stop thinking Hollywood's depiction of slavery was the actual facts of history and educate yourself.
