Major Squee Warning - My Two New Rescue Kittens

First of all, my camera sucks, and the yellow sucks, but here they are...probably 7 weeks old now...went into the traps when I was tnr-ing last Sunday...obviously sisters. Got them checked out at the vet's and were given their first set of shots on Thursday. Still keeping them in the bathroom when I'm not there until they're fully socialized, although I let them run around with the others this morning and over the weekend, but only for a little while so they aren't overwhelmed. The others aren't thrilled, although Ashley, my only male, seems to have accepted them, and wants to hold them down and clean and love them, which the tortie adores, although the calico isn't quite sure about Ashley yet. I need to find them homes...6 cats is crazy, 8 would be insanse!

Because they would knock things over, and wanted out even in the huge cage I iniially had them in (big enough for a bed, food, and a small litter box).

I love Torties. My last baby was a Tortie-point, what an attitude! Was more like a dig dressed up in kitty clothes. Sure do miss her.

Enjoy while they are there!

The 7-month odl tortie was accepted very easily by the others...she has the most submissive personality, and none of the others felt threatened, they all seemed to mother her, too!

my daughters would have felt like they had died and gone to heaven if we have pick up one of the kitties. Our Current Calico is ageing and she has been a complete swetheart.....on second thought, maybe an energetic little one may be too hard on her.

It sounds like you need a new lens. And the light sucks, but you are also going through more glass.

They look pretty though. Enjoy the kitties.

I am biased towards nikon, the lenses tend to have less glass, and we do a lot of night photography. (Or boards where they do not want us to get photos without flash)

(and that doing the repair makes sense, but we also use them more than most)

If you do not like Cannon, consider selling the good lens, or getting an adaptor for whatever other brand you get.

They are just charming. If I didn't have a husband, you'd probably be seeing me on the Animal Planet channel with the hazmat guys knocking on the door.

Several of ours love sleeping in various sinks around the house.

I almost brought home a little calico sweetie from PetSmart a couple of years ago - her face was divided right down the middle with the orange and black, and she had one orange ear and one back ear. I would have called her Harley, short for Harlequin, because of her markings. As soon as I heard brain finding a name for her, I knew I better walk away before I did something crazy.
